Where We Come From

We Didn’t Start Here.
We Grew Here.

Bay Area Black Wall Street was born in San Francisco in June of 2020 — launched during the pandemic to strengthen Black community wealth, visibility, and connection at a moment when our communities needed it most. What began as a local movement quickly became proof of something bigger: when Black entrepreneurs, creatives, and community leaders are connected, resourced, and seen, they build extraordinary things.

From our first Juneteenth festival in the Bayview to the launch of 1921 Lounge, we built real infrastructure, real community, and a real track record. Now we are expanding that model across the entire Bay Area.

The Expansion

One Network. The Whole Bay.

Bay Area Black Wall Street is now building connectivity amongst Black entrepreneurs, creatives, and community stakeholders across every county in the Bay. We are creating the infrastructure — the networks, the spaces, the programs, and the relationships — that allow our communities to find each other, support each other, and build together.

Whether you are in San Francisco, the East Bay, the North Bay, or Contra Costa County — this network is being built for you and with you.

The Formula
Financial Empowerment=Banked. Credit-built. Wealth-ready.
Entrepreneurship Support=Launched. Funded. Visible.
Community Wealth Building=Owned. Circulating. Growing.
Civic Leadership=Informed. Organized. At the table.

That’s what we’re building.

What We’re Building

Four Pillars. One Mission.

01

Financial Empowerment

More Black families banked, credit-built, and financially equipped to build wealth across generations.

We connect community members to financial education, credit building, banking access, and the tools needed to build lasting household wealth.

02

Entrepreneurship Support

More Black businesses launched, funded, and positioned to grow — with the networks and visibility to match.

We provide aspiring and existing Black entrepreneurs with the resources, mentorship, networks, and visibility needed to build thriving businesses.

03

Community Wealth Building

More community-owned assets, cooperative models, and dollars circulating within our communities rather than leaving them.

We invest in the collective — supporting community-owned assets and the long-term infrastructure that keeps wealth where it belongs.

04

Civic Leadership

More Black voices at the tables where decisions are made — informed, organized, and ready to lead.

We develop the next generation of Black leaders who will shape policy, build institutions, and advocate for the communities they come from.
